But Cappy Camera operates a little differently. Because we are a boutique brand (and not a massive warehouse giant), our shipping process is unique. Whether you just ordered or you are waiting on a pre-order, here is everything you need to know about how your camera gets to you.
The Short Answer on Shipping Times
If your Cappy Camera is marked "In Stock," it typically ships within 2-4 business days. If you purchased a "Pre-Order" item, it means we are currently manufacturing the next batch. Pre-orders ensure you secure a camera from the next drop, which usually ships within 2-4 weeks depending on the specific wave.
Why Do We Have "Pre-Orders"?
You might notice that Cappy Camera often switches to "Pre-Order" mode. This happens for two reasons:
- Viral Demand: Honestly? TikTok blows us up. Sometimes we sell through a month's worth of inventory in 48 hours. Pre-orders allow you to reserve your spot in line so you don't miss out on the next restock.
- Quality Control: We don't drop-ship generic tech. Every batch of Cappy Cameras undergoes a testing phase to ensure the flash, the sensor, and the battery meet our standards. We would rather make you wait an extra week than send you a camera that doesn't work.
"Label Created" vs. "Shipped"
One common question we get is: "I got a tracking number, but it says 'Label Created' and hasn't moved in 2 days. Is it lost?"
Don't panic! This is normal. When we process a large batch of orders, we print all the labels at our warehouse at once. It might take our carrier (USPS/DHL/etc.) 24-48 hours to scan the package into their system after we hand it off. If your tracking doesn't update after 5 business days, please reach out to us.
How to Track Your Order
The fastest way to check your status is to search your email inbox for "Order Confirmation" or "Shipment Updated."
- Order Confirmed: We received your order and it is in the queue.
- Pre-Order Confirmed: Your spot is saved, and we will ship as soon as the batch lands.
- Out for Delivery: Get your outfit ready, it's almost time to shoot.
