Unboxing Cappy: The Quick Start Guide to Your New Camera

Master Your Cappy: The Complete Guide to Buttons, Video & Filters

You just unboxed your Cappy Camera. It looks simple, just two buttons and a switch, but these controls are capable of doing a lot more than just snapping a quick picture.

Because there is no touchscreen, we use "Short Presses" and "Long Presses" to switch between modes. It might feel like a secret code at first, but once you learn it, you'll be switching between Photo and Video mode in seconds.

Here is the official guide to controlling your Cappy Camera.

The "Back Button" (Power & Flash)

The small button on the BACK of the camera handles your power and lighting.

  • Turn ON/OFF: Press and HOLD the button for 3 seconds. The LED light will wake up (Green) or turn off.
  • Toggle Flash: Give the button a QUICK PRESS. This turns the built-in flash on or off for your next shot.

The "Shutter Button" (Photo vs. Video)

The button on the front of the camera takes the shot. But depending on how long you hold it, it changes from a Camera to a Camcorder.

1. How to Take a Photo

Action: Short Press (Click and release).

The Signal: The LED light will blink Green briefly to process the image. Once it stops blinking, you can take another.

2. How to Record Video

Action: Press and HOLD the shutter button for about 2 seconds, then RELEASE.

The Signal: The Green LED light will start FLASHING continuously. This means you are live! The camera is now recording video with audio.

3. How to Stop Video

Action: Give the shutter button a Short Press again.

The Signal: The flashing Green light stops and goes solid. Your video is saved, and the camera is instantly ready to take photos again.

The Filter Switch (4 Vibes)

On the back of the camera, you will see a 4-position sliding switch. This controls the "Color Science" of your images.

Important: These filters apply to BOTH your Photos and your Videos.

  • Position 1 (Vintage): Standard warm color. Perfect for sunny days and daily life.
  • Position 2 (Black & White): High contrast monochrome. Great for weddings and street photography.
  • Position 3 (Low Tone): Desaturated and soft. Gives a dreamy, faded look.
  • Position 4 (Deep Blue): Cool, cinematic tones. Amazing for night shots and urban vibes.

Battery Saver Mode

Don't worry about draining your battery if you get distracted. After 2 minutes of inactivity, the camera will automatically turn off. Just hold the back Power button to wake it up again.

Now that you know the controls, get out there and start creating.
